I had a blast meeting everyone and their family members. It really did remind me of a family reunion.
Thanks to Chalnoth and Jo for allowing us to use their home for this gathering!
The Princesses and my wife had a great time as well, and I appreciate the recognition they received.
As for that head boy *smiles*, I believe that name has a chance to replace most of his other names, except for Mr. Wonderful (possibly)
I am totally exhausted even after being home for almost a day now. My computer did not like me leaving it alone and turned off for 8 days, so it decided to corrupt some files on me.
I am still working on recovery of one of my backups, which might take most of today (Sunday).
We had intended to arrive home later today, but when we called last week to see how our dogs were doing at the vet, they told us the little one (2 yr old 7 lb long hair blue dachsund named Abi) had torn up her bed, and wasn't eating much. So I decided we needed to get home by 11:30 Saturday to get them from the vet so they wouldn't have to wait till Monday morning to get freed.
We left at 5:30 am from Disney Animal Kingdom Lodge Friday morning. We stayed at Lake Charles LA, 5 hrs from the vets, and left at 5:15am, and barely made it to the vets on time to get the pups.
I'm glad we did because Abi had rubbed a raw spot on her nose from trying to get out of her cage. They went ballistic when we picked them up and we had a blast with them yesterday.
Once I get my computer up and running, I will get ingame and vent again to say hi to folks.
I'll post a longer message once I get more rest (I have been running on 2-3 hrs of sleep each night for 5 nights until last night, when I FINALLY got some real sleep).
I do want to thank everyone that was able to come to the gathering. I know it can be rough, or impossible to attend these sorts of events, but I appreciate all the PAS and their families that were able to attend.
I come from a very small family (just my brother and I), and this truly felt like a huge family reunion to me.
It was awesome to see PAS that I had met before in RL (most from Shino and Brianna's RL wedding in Georgia), and it was just as awesome to meet so many other PAS. I loved meeting Queen Mum for the first time, and I loved all the side chats that I had with so many of the people Thursday night. I wish I could have spent even more time with everyone, but I tried to pop around and spend time with as many people as possible, swapping UO stories, complaining about Tiger *cough*, and just generally having a blast putting a name to a face.
Tiger, I don't know what you did to convince Mrs. Patience to marry you, but I can tell you that was the best thing you ever did in your life. I hope that spell doesn't wear off enough for her to find out who she married.
OK folks back to recovering my computer.
*hugs* to everyone in the PAS and PAS extended family.
