Galadriel - da dakine (newbie)

Postby Galadriel » Fri Apr 29, 2011 12:01 am

Awwwwryte, I got PAS'ed tonight! I wanted to introduce myself to those of you who don’t know me. I have been in the game for the last 6 weeks, and am really just getting started. I have had several conversations with several of the People’s Army of Sonoma members, and many of them have helped me with information, or an item, and in some case multiple times, and multiple items. Azekah made me a complete set of armor for Galadriel, BARD/MAGE, and it has all kinds of Provocation plus up on the jewelery, etc.
I also got to go on your 13th Anniversary hunt, that was fun, and watched the parade before hand, also fun, and I got a few nice trinkets for the house. And I was at the auction the other night, although everything was a bit expensive for me, but it was fun to watch and participate!
I had a long talk with Ciara the other night, and between her and Azekah, their demeanor, everything, it made up my mind for me, I wanted to join PAS!
I live in Hawaii, so it’s +6 to the East Coast right now (+5 when everybody on the mainland “falls back”). I will be hard pressed to be at many of the daily events, since they are at 3pm my time right now, but I will see you n the weekends, and in the evenings after the event is over probably, for those of you sticking around.
Okay, one more thing about me. I used to play UO long ago. 97-2000. On Sonoma server, had a small guild (4 people), and we just kinda played together pretty much. The Pking got so bad, and our house looted, and after the 3rd time that happened, we all quit. Never got too far in those days, and our house was small. I beta tested the 2nd Age, so some of you will remember the timeframe. My main MAGE character then was Galadriel. Our colors were RED, but none of our players were. It is good to be back, and I wish I had stuck it out, found PAS on Sonoma then, and I would not be so far behind the power curve now. Much of it is coming back, but there is a lot new stuff, and the adventures await. Hopefully I get to meet all of you at some point, and looking forward to the camaraderie and adventures!!

I've said it before, but welcome to PAS! They are, indeed, a great group of people.

It makes sense that you call me Azekah, since that's the character you talked with the most. But it sounds funny to me since I rarely do anything with her except jump on to craft something. A lot of people in PAS probably have no idea who you are referring to. Most people call me Avorion, since he was my main when I started (or just as often it's smart@$$, and I have no idea why they call me that.) You can see my alts in my signature below, and I switch between them frequently to keep people on their toes.

welcome to PAS!

Its a shame that we did not find you in the early days to get you into PAS, but at least you made it.

I live in Texas, and one of the bumper stickers that we see a lot here says:

I wasn't born in Texas, but I got here as fast as I could!

So in your case, you weren't born a PAS, but you got here as fast as you could!

Lots of awesome players in PAS, thats for sure. Lots of those awesome players are also considered our best goobers too *smiles*.

If you see me use that phrase, its a good thing, not a bad thing. We love goobers, and I am the King of goobers, as well as the King of Sonoma.

My grandfather used to call people goobers, as that was a phrase from his generation that meant someone was nuts. But he used it as a good sign and a bad sign, which was interesting to me. But if I call a PAS or alliance member a goober, then rest assured that's a good thing. :)

Tiger is one of our most active goobers.

I'll see you ingame!

Mahalo Nui Loa (Thank You Very Much)

Postby Galadriel » Thu May 05, 2011 7:17 pm

Thank you for the "welcomes", both here and in-game!

Hmmmmm.....Malahihi???? Ciara, was that a Freudian thing, a typo, or what???? Well, if that was supposed to be Malahini, I'm NOT! Hehehe.....not Kama'aina either I guess, but been here long enough.....to be....."semicolon-aina" lets say!

I wish I had found PAS as well...back in 99/00 timeframe, maybe I would have been around for all the good stuff that came after 2nd Age! Oh well, back now, and we're together at last!

Ku'uipo (my ALT) got "PAS'ed" last night, so you'll see mroe of me as I work her various skill sets up. I also should be up on Ventrilo here today, so less :typing: and more :music: Which works well for me, since I do not type (I mean, I am very fast, but I gotta look down, and it's just not good - read that "loss of situational awareness"); plus, I always used a headset anyway, cause.....

I love my Dawn's Music Box, :smt031 and often sit INSCRIBING, and the Box is right next to the table, so I run thru my play list listening to the wonderful UO music, picking out the obo, the tuba, the clarinet, the viola, the violins, etc. That and a few of these :occasion5: go a long way toward making a positive UO experience! Not to mention Thaeus (Avorion ALT) making me a set of Armor for Galadriel, and making me a super deal on a 120 PS I wanted real bad - albeit it was hours of hard work to fulfil my part, it was worth it!

It's GREAT to be back, and EVEN GREATER to be with you folks!!

ALOHA from sunny Hawaii!
