need gm miner
shovel or pickaxes work
need to swing about 50 times before you get anything (swing is slower than normal mining)
mining target:
if you get a message like "you dig but do not find any blackrock" you are on the right track. keep digging in that exact spot (blackrock spots are not like normal mining spots)
you don't want to target the blackrock graphic directly but rather ground around or under the graphic. if while searching for a spot you mine up normal/colored ore you are mining in the wrong spot....
note these theories have only been tested in T2A

Posted: Mon Nov 27, 2006 6:18 amthx for your info.. was having troble with it my self... thought you could just mine and get it as well.. but with your info i found it... only got the small ones so far...
also thought id give some more help on it as well now that i know how to get it...
at the bottom of the crystal formation in t2a you will see what looks like crystal fragments.. these are what you want to target..
this location is located on the south east side of the t2a almost at the very bottom right of the map...
use a stealth minor or you will never manage to live long enough to even try to get any of the black rock.. these monsters have an area afect so dont get to close or you will become visable if you do run and rehide and try it agin... be warned they have a similar AI as the beserkers.. and if that not bad enough they have there speed and also magery.. Here is a picture hope it helps out...

Posted: Mon Nov 27, 2006 11:14 amYou do not have to have ANY mining skill. NO MINING SKILL at all. Noah has been gathering black rock like crazy with a stealther and 0 mining skill.
