Never ending Savage Paint?

So I did the Elven Heritage quest last week. At the end of the quest, I kept getting the message that I could only continue in my original state. I had stripped naked and unmounted. ( wow that sounds uncomfortable)

I ended up paging a Gm for assistance. Right befoore the GM said it, I realized that it must be the savage paint. The GM just gave me the response that he took care of it and to try the quest giver again. So I do and poof I am an elf.

I figured that he just wiped the paint off me.

Without thinking about it, I went back to the savage camp to train taming on the ridgebacks and didn't get attacked. I have died several times, and still not getting attacked. I figured that maybe the elves had some special kindred to the Savages.... Well maybe not.

I am now training spellweaving and get the message that I cant transform into Ethy or Reaper state while wearing Savage Paint. I get an oil cloth and wipe. I recieve the message "You wipe away all your body paint". But still cant transform.

So now I think Ike is bugged a little. Now here is the question? Do I go live with the savages, or page a GM to wipe my paint away? Unless of course this is simply another change to the game that I have no clue about.

I just killed a savage and not only did nothing explode, after I killed him, the others still didnt attack me.

Curious isn't it?

Have you tried to apply savage paint again and then wipe it off properly? Don't know if it will work but the principle is to fully restore to the point the game seems to think you are at and then remove it properly.

have u had this situation for more than one day? Normally, server up (7am cdt for Sonoma) fixes a lot of things for players that have a bug of sorts ingame.

OK I have tried to use savage paint, and I am told "You can't use that."

I have waited until server up, no change. I didnt think it would since it has been more than a week now.

I guess now time to call the GM.

So to recap, I have tried to following methods to remove the paint and failed:
* Oil Cloth
* Death
* Attacking and Killing a Savage
* Waited for Server
* Reapplying Paint

It would be fine if I wasnt trying to work Spellweaving.

Call a GM. You may have to call repeatedly, and say it is an in game issue. They usually try to send you a link to a website hoping that will solve the problem the first few times you write. (at least me)

I called a GM and finally after 2 hours, I received the response to please report the bug.

They did not fix it!!!

So I sent the bug report giving the exact details. I'll try to page again during off hours so the wait wont be so long.

I am having the same problems on one of my characters only its not paint its evolves something you eat. I have reported it as a bug and nothing has been done about it in over 3 weeks. So I will continue to use my character even though it has a "unfair advantage". I have done everything in my power to have the problem corrected....it is now up to EA to do something about it.

Goodluck on them fixing your characters problem. Best advice I could give you is to work spellweaving on another character and then transfer it over with a soulstone.

Odd new addition. I can cast an EV right next to a savage, and it will not attack a savage. The savage will not attack it.

This is an amazing and powerful bug. You can tame ridgebacks unmolested for hours now. They will take you to 120 taming. You can start at some super low skill with jewelry. It's amazingly fast. Do it. Do not page to fix yourself, they just handed you 120 taming practically for free. If the character isn't a tamer, make it one immediately.

Well I am still a savage and the crappy thing is that I am not getting any taming gains. Zero, nadda, ziltch.

I will try again today, If no gains after 100 ridgebacks, then I may delete the character and begin fresh.

The only response I have received from OSI/EA/Origin is to please report the bug to the website and stop bothering the GMs.
