I think I have the oddest luck. I have fought countless titan paragons and cyclops paragons, even nightmare paragons in the vain hopes of getting an artifact. I think out of them all where i was actively hunting paragons i have gotten 2 artifacts (shield of invulnerability and polar mask). Now the odd part is I have received 4 from just roaming through ilsh and seeing a paragon great hart, spider, headless.

So the moral of the story for me is simply if you see a paragon that you can kill, kill it! I even chased down a paragon tropical bird. Bought the only paragon I have run from is a paragon Balron (paragon dragon was tough so probably won't do that solo again, the nightmares fireball is a one hit kill so I take them on with caution)

how much luck is on your suit? I know I get a lot more artis when Im on my tamer with 1300 luck, than on my other chars with like 0 luck.

Others having the same results perhaps? But yep Ive gotten em from paragon deer etc too *smiles*.

Soloed a para balron on my tamer with 1465 luck, no arty, no chest.

Killed a para mongbat on my warrior with 0 luck, got a pixie swatter and a level 1 para chest.

Go figure.

It's luck of the draw, but yes odds are higher with more luck and higher end monsters. That doesn't mean that odd coincidences happen, but improving odds is all you can really do.

And yes, killing any para that moves isn't necessarily a bad idea either...unless it's para meer and pixies and unis...you'll hit bad karma eventually and ouch with the pixies.

When I hunt paragons for arties it is with my tamer with about 800 luck. The random encounters that have yielded an arty is with my archer with 0 luck.

I still take out the paragon pixie's if they come across my path, I usually have more than enough karma to not worry about it.
