I know I'm late to post but I wanted to say thank you for the update and I'm so happy to hear things are going well.

Wish him my best and continue to keep us updated.

Finally, it's me

Postby Maldar » Sat May 08, 2010 10:46 pm

Hello all!

Thank you all for your get-well cards, best wishes and prayers. You have no idea how much you have all meant to me and how, when I was depressed and, frankly, crying alone late at night, thinking about how you have been worried about me has lifted my spirits. It is quite lonesome here and I wish I could go back to Indiana soon. Thank you for being my online friends. I appreciate you all very much!
I logged into the game last night and fiddled around with my crafter, even making it into Luna to put some little things on my vendor. I found I am having a difficult time remembering things. It took me an hour before I figured out how to unravel things again. When I logged on, I freaked when my bod-holding vendors were all gone. After a couple hours, I thought to check the house crate and was thrilled to find all the BOD books sitting there waiting on me to think of it. lol I was really bumming when I thought I had lost thousands of BODs!
Currently, I am messing around getting the hang of killing regular and toxic.......I can't remember the name now....those alligator-looking critters. At least those I can fight and run away to heal myself before I die. It looks like my dungeon days are over. I'd never survive having to let go of the mouse to hit function keys. It looks like a lot of new things have happened in the game. I wandered around Luna.....window-shopping......and saw a lot of things that are either new or I just don't remember them. I bought a pair of logs that were attached side-by-side and named "2 log." The guy said it was rare. I hope he wasn't lying. It cost me a mil and I wanted to add them to my rares collection. lol
There are so many of you that I want to thank individually, but typing just this is a pain in the butt to do one-handed. Suffice to say, I know who you are and what you have done and are doing for me.

Love and thanks to you all!

Maldar (aka Bob, aka "whiney".......according to a nurse that is hot enough that she can get away with calling me anything she wants.) :P

Hi Damien!!

Thanks, man. I appreciate all you are doing! Thanks for keeping my buddy Chris from divulging my account info to the public! lol He didn't know. (Man, this hitting the cap key before I type certain letters is a pain. I have to keep going back and correcting my grammar.......I'm anal, I know....)

As for your offer to do anything I need.....you can sit next to me and hit my "heal" key while I am running and screaming at the top of my lungs. lol

It's good to hear from you, my friend!

Maldar, hearing from you is just wonderful. I'm sending you lots of love, and continue praying for your recovery.

If you want someone to come press the heal button for you, I'll do it! If there is any way I can help you relearn the game, or keep you company, I'll be delighted.

I am so impressed you have recovered enough to write to us. I'm sending you loving thoughts every day, and hope we can help chase those blues away.

God bless you.

Maldar, I'm so glad that upon my return you get to return as well. I'm so happy to hear that you are doing better. You brought a smile to my face and happiness to my heart. The only way now is up my friend.

I like the rest are willing to help you with anything you need. Others have offered to heal you so I guess I will bring the pillow for you to scream into so no one knows your screaming. This way you still stand strong. LOL

Love and miss ya

Maldar, we have never met. But my heart goes out to you. MY own experances come to nowhere close to what you are currently going thru. They might still give some insight.
After my last 'heart' problem I got alot slower. So I went shopping.
A Logitech g11 keyboard does alot of my macroing now.

For u might I advise this?

Hi, everyone, and thanks for the kind words and offers of assistance (although I think Wildflower is a bit too anxious to put a pillow over my face.....lol. I wouldn't have minded around 4 months ago. Wow, time has gone by.)

Ciara, you are my rock! Thank you!

Red, if only I were younger......(I might have been able to move quicker when I felt the floor giving way under my feet.)

Julion, I'm going to look into that keyboard. Thanks for sharing what you have learned from your experience. A buddy of mine is working on a voice-activated system for me, too. (That should be interesting to see what happens when I start swearing at the screen.)

KD, it's good to hear from you! I haven't a clue what is going on in anyone's life as yet but I trust all is well with you. (Good grief, I have a ton of "new" posts to read through.)

I am having one heck of a time controlling my characters as I try to run. My hand is shaking so badly that my mule looked like a pinball bouncing off of houses on his way down the streets of Luna. LOL It was a sight to see! It will help when I get this I.V. out of my arm and I can use a mouse and not this sad excuse for one on this laptop (I hate trying to do anything but reports on laptops.)

I'm doing okay. I greatly appreciate all of you! You have been a comfort to me when my world had fallen unbelievably apart. The docs can stop cutting me back open any time now. I'm feeling like a side of beef. The meds are keeping the pain to a minimum (I can still remember what the pain was like before them.) My head has never stopped hurting like heck. I'm *really* hoping that eases up soon.

Well, it is about time for my hot little redhead nurse to come in and check on me. I sure do look forward to her shift starting. :P
I'm off to begin trying to catch up on reading all the posts that have been placed since the middle of January. (Try to slow down on your posts for me....give a guy a chance to catch up. lol)

See you all soon!

Maldar (aka Bob, "Whiney", "that b*stard in ICU room 8"....that's a story for another time. lol)

UOAM

Postby Maldar » Thu May 13, 2010 11:12 pm

Oh, yeah.....I finally remembered about UOAM so I downloaded it, but it only downloads 2 out of 6 updates and then won't load. I start it as administrator. Any ideas?

well heck, when I would play Magincia madness I would ALWAYS be running into lamp posts and getting myself killed. Sheesh its sad that I still own the record for most deaths at a PAS event (28). Cmon someone has to get out there and beat that so I wont feel so bad :)

Things are great here with me, Maldar. Sounds like things are progressing nicely for you (and NO I dont mean with that red headed nurse *smiles*).

Cya ingame soon!
