Help with roofing

I have worked out the basic design of the new Cove Cafe (I borrowed heavily from Housing Contest Entry websites )but I cannot seem to get the roof portions to work. I have built and torn off 10 versions in the past two days.

Here is where I am:



I was thinking about a tile roof here. Other ideas?

Then for the small potion:



My main problem seems to be getting the tiles to line up properly.

To play a roof you need to have a one tile
space around the whole house
It will be easier to place a roof
but that will mean you will
loose a tile around the whole house

I was able to roof th small 1 story "house" section with thatch and decided against redoing the other section. Instead I went with a flat porch / roof. Easier to build if not as authentic looking.

Now I am decorating the interior. I have the cafe / bar area pretty much set. I just need my workshop, office, bedroom and garden area set up...

Oh well, it will no doubt be a long time project.
