Day with the Rays

Postby Chalnoth Tholl » Sun Aug 30, 2015 12:03 pm

Jo and I had a great time in Nassau. Went to Sandals Resort and had an encounter with sting rays! Only 4 people in our groups so we had lots of up close and personal time, feeding and handling the rays. Kevin was very knowledgeable about the rays.

Always pet them head to tail
(all these rays have their spikes trimmed)

Harry's turn to hold. This was a medium size ray. There were 25 rays in in the enclosure.
Also needle fish, sergeant majors and Snapper.

Photo bombed by a fish!

Got rerouted to Freeport to avoid the storm. was raining this morning, nice this afternoon.

Wonderful photos! I went night diving with manta rays off Kona. They were beautiful. I love sea life, though don't care to get close to sharks!
